Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026. Plain language, no tricks.

1. What this is

Ajaira.site provides free subdomains under ajaira.site and a DNS management interface for them. It is an independent experimental project. By creating an account you agree to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

  • You must provide a working email address and verify it.
  • One person, one account. Do not create accounts to get around limits.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account, including keeping your password safe.
  • You must be old enough to enter into an agreement where you live, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Subdomains

  • Claiming a subdomain grants you a revocable licence to use that hostname. It is not a sale and you do not own the name.
  • Current limits are 5 subdomains per account and 10 DNS records per subdomain. These may change.
  • Some names are reserved for infrastructure or held back as premium names. Reserved names cannot be claimed.
  • Releasing a subdomain is permanent. The name returns to the pool and anyone may claim it.

3a. Terms and renewal

Subdomains are not permanent. Each runs for a term of 7 days. Signing in to your account renews every subdomain you hold for a further full term; there is nothing else to do and nothing to pay.

  • We email a reminder 2 days before a term ends, to the address on your account.
  • When a term ends, the subdomain is marked expired and its DNS records are deleted, so the hostname stops resolving.
  • We hold the name for a further 7 days. Signing in during that window restores the subdomain with a fresh term. DNS records are not restored — you add those again.
  • After the grace period the name is released to the pool and anyone may claim it. This cannot be undone.

Term and grace lengths may change. We will announce a change before it takes effect.

4. Content and conduct

You are solely responsible for whatever your subdomain points at. We do not host your content and we do not review it in advance. What you may not do is set out in the Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or delete a subdomain or an account when:

  • it is used for phishing, malware, scams, spam, malicious redirects, impersonation or anything illegal;
  • it breaks the Acceptable Use Policy in another way;
  • it threatens the stability, reputation or legality of the platform;
  • we are required to act by a hosting provider, registrar or competent authority.

For clear-cut abuse we act first and explain afterwards. For everything else we will normally contact you first. Suspension removes your DNS records, so the hostname stops resolving.

You can stop using the service at any time by releasing your subdomains.

6. Service availability

The service is provided “as is”, with no uptime guarantee, no SLA and no warranty of any kind. This is a side project running on donated and sponsored infrastructure. We may change, limit or discontinue any part of it. If we plan to shut down, we will give notice through the site and by email where we can.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ajaira.site and the people who run it are not liable for lost data, lost business, downtime, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. The service is free; that is the trade.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site and, where they affect your rights, by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
